Fat Kid Adventure #39: Stacks (Menlo Park)

(Originally posted on September 19, 2007)

For a generous brunch on a lazy Sunday, Stacks is optimal. I had the crab crepe (starring fresh crab meat, chives, jack cheese and avocado, topped with hollandaise sauce), and she had some kind of a chorizo fritatta. We also shared a single layer of the banana macadamia nut & coconut pancake. The pancake is absolutely phenomenal - a delicious gigantor with may surprises in the middle. The crab crepe was pretty thick and all you can taste is the crab - not bad of a stuffing for a crepe though. The fritatta took on a Mexican trend and felt heavier than the crepe - served with guac, salsa, sour cream, rice, beans. Fantastic restaurant in Menlo Park with a guaranteed 20-25 minute wait on a Sunday noon that's worth your while.
