This is a nice little Filipino restaurant in Mountain View. Rachel and I actually ordered tons of stuff from there that day - pansit, chicken adobo, mechado, mamon, and ensaymadas. Pansit is rice noodles, and it is a traditional party dish that is treated as a snack. Chicken adobo is a common dinner plate and a trademark Filipino food. Its base is soy sauce and vinegar, and the chicken is simmered in that sauce for an hour or so until the meat is soft and infused with flavor. Mechado is a beef stew with a tomato base that is not as spicy. The mamons and ensaymadas are pastries - pretty good, it's definitely got that Asian pastry feel to it. Not the best Filipino around, definitely not compared to some of the previous adventures. So treat it like Intro to Filipino Food.
