For our one-month dinner, Rachel and I dined at Limon in San Francisco. This upscale Peruvian cuisine hot spot is located in the Mission district. Sitting in the middle of a semi-ghetto neighborhood, this joint offers classy appetizers and dishes of quite expensive pricing. For appetizer, we tried the Cerviche Limon - fresh halibut with mixed seafood marinated in lime juice, served with yam, Peruvian corn and mussels in a salsa criolla. For entrees, I had the Chuletons Carlitos - amazing pork chop served with bacon and mushroom, and she had the Picante de Mariscos - braised scallops, calamari, shrimp, mussels, clams and diced potatoes in a Peruvian Adresso cream sauce. For drinks, I had a purple corn juice (savory sweet, which is kind of weird), and she had a sangria. All items were awesome, but the bill came out to be $45 a piece. I'd say it was worth the money given the occasion, though!
