Fat Kid Adventure #25: Evvia Estiatorio (Palo Alto)

(Originally posted on August 15, 2007)

This Greek spot on Emerson off University in Palo Alto is pretty awesome. Nice, crowded atmosphere - business casual. Though couple of complaints: my reservation was delayed 15 minutes, and there was no water for the first 15 minutes. But other than that, the food was pretty good. Got octopus (Octopodaki) for appetizer - tender and tangy - texture halfway between salmon and squid. My entree was the beef fillet (Souvlaki) - served medium rare - with Greek rice. Best quality of the fillet is juiciness - like oh WOW. Nice and tender, and it lasts in your mouth. There are a total of 5 pieces, each takes 2 bites to devour. Guaranteed to satisfy. Rachel got the halibut - also pretty tender with crispy edges. Nice! Caution: beware of costs.
